Built by: First boat built by Walter Shewan of Fetlar c. early 1920’s and named after the house that he lived in.
Owned and Sailed by: Duncan Sandison owned and sailed Still at the Inter-Club but Duncan Mouat sailed her in the North Isles.
Inter-Club Sailing Details: winner of the Linklater Cup in 1959 with fore and aft rig and the Stout Cup in 1954 with dipping lug Rig.
Note: In his book “The Sixareen and her racing descendants” published in 1954, Charles Sandison describes the building of the Still, Smugga and Miss Gadabout by Walter Shewan as “milestones in the development of the racing model in Shetland”. Still has been largely rebuilt by Duncan Mouat’s son Willie Mouat.
