Owned and Sailed by: From 1970, Joe Gray, present owner, who sailed her at the Inter-Club for nearly 30 years. Frankie Grant was a long term crew member.

 

Inter-Club Sailing Details: winner of the Waarie Geo Cup in 1996 and 1999, the Bressay Cup and Harbour Café Trophy in 1999.

 

Note: The Ripple, along with Foam and Mareel, is recognised as being the first in a class of ballasted boats built by Jimmy Smith. Ripple was a regular competitor at Shetland Regattas from 1926 until 1999.
